HUBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE
Hubble Space Telescope, a telescope sent into orbit April 24, 1990 at about 600 kilometers above the earth.
having been in orbit for over nineteen years and counting and capturing some of the most breathtaking views of the galaxy ever taken.
The Hubble was Launched at 28.5 degrees, the easiest possible angle. Launching at low angles minimizes the amount of rocket thrust needed to achieve orbit.

1980- Development of Hubble and design.
1983 - Construction of hubble beings.
1985 - Construction of hubble complete.
1990 - space shuttle Discovery lifts off on mission STS-31, carrying Hubble into orbit.
1990 - after launch a flaw is discovered in the Hubble's mirror that produced blurred images.
1993 - The space shuttle Endeavour launches on Hubble Servicing Mission 1
1994 - Hubble takes images of the Orion nebula that confirm the birth of planets around stars.
Today - Hubble continues to take extrodinary pictures of our universe.
Hubble's first mirror launched into space turns out to be a mistake because of its blurry unclear images that astronomers did not expect.
